HusCompagniet is a leading single-family house-builder with roots going back more than 40 years. The brand, HusCompagniet, was established in 2010 via a merger of two Danish medium-sized brick house construction companies, FM-Søkjær and Interbyg.

With a 2020 market share of around 24%, HusCompagniet is a market leader within single-family detached houses in Denmark, which accounts for around 90% of our total revenues. Our core focus is on the detached house new build segment to consumers, but we are also increasingly active in the semi-detached house new build market segment to both consumers and professional investors. In particular in the semi-detached business-to-business segment we see a strong growth potential.

HusCompagniet’s leading market position is built on constant innovation and a relentless focus on customer satisfaction through end-to-end, customized turnkey solutions based on a fixed price and payment at delivery, which is a concept that HusCompagniet has pioneered.

Based on a range of standardised house types, HusCompagniet offers a wealth of customisation options, allowing customers to fulfill their dreams of a new home. Since the foundation of the companies that later became HusCompagniet, we have built more than 22,000 houses - all different and customized to each family’s needs and dreams.

In 2017, HusCompagniet strengthened its position in Sweden through the acquisition of VårgårdaHus, complementing the traditional brick-house portfolio with the high-quality prefabricated wood-framed houses built on VårgårdaHus’ factory and sold through a network of independent sales agents.

As a market leader, HusCompagniet has an obligation to set the standards and lead the evolution to a more sustainable operating model in the house building industry. Already in 2019, 48% of our sold houses had alternative energy sources. In 2020 we reached 50%. It is our target that 60% of our sold houses have alternative energy sources in 2025.

In 2020, HusCompagniet generated revenue of DKK 3.6 billion, with an EBITA before special items of DKK 317 million.
